Over my 27 year career as a surgeon and physician-scientist (now a full-time physician entrepreneur) I've started multiple companies and various ventures, held a variety of executive roles, gained multiple FDA  approvals, built ISO Certified facilities, been a PI funded by the NIH, NSF, VA Merit Review and more. The list of things I have done within the Life Sciences is quite long and would probably bore you to sleep.

The point here is that no matter where you are in your journey as a physician entrepreneur, odds are I have been there before. Even better odds that while I was there, I made some pretty avoidable mistakes that you can now learn from. There is no substitute for experience, whether it be good or bad. And yes, learning from other peoples' experiences is nearly as valuable as learning from your own.

Looking back, the most costly times in my career were when I lacked a mentor or a coach. I cannot emphasize this enough. These were the darkest times mentally, emotionally, and financially. Please don't make the mistake of trying to go it alone. It always ends in heartache and tears.
